Unlocking the Mystery: Science Fair Edition

Unlocking the Mystery: Science Fair Edition

1st activity: The "DOME"

Upon reaching the 6th floor, we saw a mass of students gathered in front of the dome, recording videos, selfies, and photos while being instructed to form a line according to sections. Everyone was sitting next to each other with great ease because it was so chill and cozy when we first entered the dome. Before beginning the discussion, the staff presented the regulations (we were not allowed to take videos), and when he started, everyone was astonished by the whole thing. The staff then gave a demonstration of the presentation while we gazed up at the magnificent display of the galaxy above us and they talked to us about everything as we traveled through space. The staff explained to us that everything is made up of atoms and molecules and that, although planets do not twinkle in the night sky, stars do. In addition to learning a great deal about the constellation stars and their symbolic meanings, we also learned how much easier it is to locate where planets are at night.

I thoroughly loved the feeling and picture of simply soaring over space, and I relished every moment of it.

2nd activity: "Climate Change"

We were instructed to proceed just below the floor to the next activity after the dome activity. Before the personnel instructed us to take a seat so that the discussion could begin, everyone took a quick tour of the space.
The team discussed how we are constantly harming the planet Earth as a result of climate change, as well as the main contributors to it, including the US, China, Brazil, Indonesia, and others.  He allowed us to take part in the initiatives and provided numerous examples of how to prevent it. The electric shock experience, where participants must hold on to one other for the electricity to pass through their bodies, was the highlight of that session, it completely "shocked" us.

This is an example of the projects, as well as solar panels and wind energy. I enjoyed the bike as it lit up the tiny house because the energy we provide generates electricity, it was fascinating.

3rd Activity: "Why Mars?"

As we proceeded to our final activity, which was held just next to the climate change room, some people took seats while others sat on the floor. After that, the staff had a straight conversation on the subject and asked us questions about the previous two activities we had, especially since the topic connected to the Climate Change activity.
This room essentially discusses what we should do next or a potential fallback strategy if we are unable to keep our planet healthy.  It outlined the potential benefits of Mars for us in the far future as well as the reasons and possibilities behind our choice of planet. We discovered during the discussion how astronauts live in space, including what they consume, how they survive, and their purpose as to why they are there. In addition, the staff displayed actual meteorite rocks for us to handle and examine. I was astounded to discover that I could actually grasp space—at least in my imagination.

Following the discussion, they let us examine each project and then conduct a game in which everyone lined up to try to win the prize—but, unfortunately, nobody was able to.

I was really mind-blown to think about touching or holding on to space.

These were the other projects in the last activity, everyone crowded for these.

The smaller pieces of meteorites.

I expected them to let us try it..

After a week of packed activities, everyone left the room smiling. All in all, it was truly an amazing experience, and I am grateful to our science teacher, Sir Jay, for allowing us to enjoy it. It was well worth the money, I had so much fun and made more memories with my friends who were with me the whole event. Wandering Minds, how perfect the name is because if you think, you search. If you search, you experience. If you experience, you learn. If you learn, you grow. And it all starts from our wandering minds.
